Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Transhipp handles information when customers, transportation providers, and visitors use our website, transportation quote marketplace, booking tools, communications, and related services.

1. Introduction

This Policy applies to Transhipp's public website and platform, including customer and provider accounts, shipment requests, quotes, messages, bookings, payment-related records, reviews, and transactional communications.

It does not replace the privacy policies of independent transportation providers or third-party services that process information under their own terms.

2. Information We Collect

Account and contact information. We collect information such as name, email address, phone number, account identifiers, account role, and authentication or session information. Authentication credentials are handled through our authentication service.

Shipment information. We collect origin and destination details, shipment category, vehicle, cargo, animal, furniture, equipment, or item details, dimensions, weight, condition, requested dates, access information, photos, and special instructions that a customer submits.

Quote and booking information. We process provider quotes, quote messages, estimated pickup and delivery dates, selected provider, booking status, complete pickup and delivery addresses, contact names and phone numbers, contact email addresses where provided, and pickup or delivery instructions.

Communications and reviews. We store customer-provider message threads, support communications, reviews, ratings, reviewer display names, review-invitation details, and related read or delivery status.

Provider information. Provider records may include company and contact details, logos, websites, operating regions, service categories, payment methods, equipment and staffing information, MC or DOT numbers, insurance information, verification status, and provider-user account information.

Payment and transaction information. PayPal processes checkout payment details. Transhipp retains transaction and booking metadata such as PayPal order and capture identifiers, amounts, currency, payment status, failure or reconciliation status, and timestamps. The current integration does not provide Transhipp with complete card numbers or card security codes.

Technical information. Transhipp and its infrastructure providers may process IP address, browser or device information, request timestamps, pages or routes requested, security events, cookie and session data, and server diagnostic logs generated when the service is used.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create, authenticate, secure, and manage customer, provider, and administrative accounts.
  • Create shipment requests and enable eligible providers to review opportunities and submit quotes.
  • Help customers compare quotes, review provider information, and communicate with providers.
  • Collect booking details, process and confirm booking deposits, create bookings, and maintain shipment status.
  • Deliver transactional notices about quotes, unread messages, bookings, shipment updates, support, and security.
  • Operate storage, messaging, reviews, customer support, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and platform security.
  • Meet legal obligations, enforce our Terms, resolve disputes, and improve the reliability and usability of the service.

4. How Information Is Shared

Customers and transportation providers. We share information needed to quote, compare, communicate, book, coordinate pickup and delivery, and perform transportation. Before booking, providers may receive shipment and contact information permitted by the platform; accepted providers receive booking and operational contact details needed for service.

Service providers. We disclose information to vendors that support database hosting, authentication, cloud hosting, file storage, payment processing, address autocomplete, transactional email, security, and technical operations.

Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to respond to legal process, prevent fraud, investigate security concerns, enforce agreements, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Transhipp, users, or others.

Business transactions. Information may be transferred as part of a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards and applicable law.

Transhipp does not sell personal information for money as part of the service described in this Policy. The current application does not contain advertising pixels or a dedicated behavioral analytics tracker.

5. Payments and PayPal

PayPal processes the booking deposit and payment credentials under PayPal's own privacy practices. Depending on the customer's PayPal interaction, PayPal may collect account, card, bank, device, and fraud-prevention information directly.

Transhipp receives and stores information needed to create and reconcile the transportation booking, including order and capture identifiers, payment amounts, currency, status, and timestamps. Transhipp does not receive or store complete card numbers or card security codes through the current PayPal integration.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Transhipp uses functional cookies and similar session mechanisms to keep users signed in, refresh authentication sessions, protect restricted portal routes, and maintain security. These are necessary for account and portal features to work.

Third-party services, including PayPal during checkout, may set or read their own cookies according to their policies. The current Transhipp application does not include advertising cookies or a dedicated behavioral advertising tracker.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including account and service operation, transaction and business recordkeeping, booking support, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations.

Retention needs vary by record and context. We may retain limited records after an account is closed when reasonably necessary for these purposes or required by law.

8. Security

Transhipp uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information, including authenticated portal access, role-based application controls, database access policies, server-only credentials, and restricted file storage.

No Internet transmission, storage system, or online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their credentials and contact us promptly if they suspect unauthorized account activity.

9. Privacy Choices and Rights

Users can review or update certain account and provider-profile information through the platform. You may contact Transhipp to ask about accessing or correcting account information, requesting deletion where applicable, or raising another privacy question.

Some information may need to be retained or a request may be limited to comply with law, preserve transaction records, protect security, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or respect another person's rights. We may need to verify identity before completing a request.

10. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to request access to or knowledge of personal information, correction, deletion, portability, or information about disclosures, and to opt out of certain processing.

If and to the extent applicable to Transhipp, California and other state privacy laws may provide additional rights and protections. Transhipp will not unlawfully discriminate against a user for exercising an applicable privacy right.

The current application does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Contact us to submit an applicable request.

11. Children's Privacy

Transhipp is not directed to children under 13. The service is intended for people capable of arranging transportation and business transactions.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through Transhipp, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

12. Third-Party Services

Transhipp uses Supabase for database, authentication, and private file-storage functions; Vercel for application hosting and operational request processing; PayPal for payment checkout; and Geoapify for address and location suggestions.

When transactional email is configured, Transhipp uses Resend to deliver customer emails such as quote, message, booking, and shipment-status notices. Address text entered into autocomplete is sent to Geoapify so suggestions can be returned.

These providers process information under their own agreements and privacy practices. Their services may collect technical or security information directly when users interact with them.

13. International Processing

Transhipp and its service providers may process information in jurisdictions other than the one where a user lives. Privacy and data-protection laws may differ across jurisdictions.

Where required, information will be handled using measures intended to provide appropriate protection under applicable law.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform, practices, vendors, or legal requirements change. Updates will be published on this page and the Last Updated date will be revised.

Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes.
